Kill Manifold

Kill manifold is necessary equipment in well-control system to pump drilling fluid into well barrel or inject the water into wellhead. It consists of check valves, gate valves, pressure gauges and line pipes. In case of increase in well head pressure, the kill manifold can provide a means of pumping heavy drilling fluid into the well to balance bottom hole pressure so that well kick and blowout can be prevented.

Data Header is high pressure assembly for collection of data wellbore production parameters, such as pressure, temperature, sand condition. Also, Data Headers used for chemical injection and safety purposes. Data Header usually installed before and after Choke Manifold.

Surface Test Tree

Surface Test Tree

Surface Test Tree, also called Flowhead, is located directly on top of the well and is the first piece of equipment that fluid from the well flows through. Its principal function is to control the fluid flow in and out of the well. The flowhead consists of four gate valves: a master valve, two wing valves (flowline & kill line), and a swab valve. A swivel below the main block of flowhead allows drill stem to rotate freely.

Being the part of the well testing system, Atmospheric Gauge Vessel mainly used to measure the flow rate and calibrate liquid metering instruments of the test separator.

Heat exchanger is equipment widely used both upstream and downstream facilities, built for efficient heat transfer from one medium to another. Heat exchangers are classified by flow arrangement, parallel flow and counterflow. Parallel flow (cocurrent) is flow when two fluids enter the exchanger at the same end and travel parallel to one another to the other side.

Vertical surge tank is the part of the well test system, designed to perform the function of secondary separation after test separator, as well as the storage of the produced liquids and gases from the test separator. Surge tank can be classified as single-compartment and twin compartment based on the requirements of well testing operator.

Filter Separator

Filter Separator

Filter Separator is used to remove liquid, small solids (created by the tubing and wing erosion) and other particles from the flow steam. Filter separators, like other gas-liquid separators, can be horizontal and vertical; the most common type is horizontal. If there is a large amount of water in coming gas, structure of filter separator is designed to have a “boot” in the bottom of the separator connected with two similar tubes parallel to each other.

Dry Gas Filters is filtering unit of the gas pipeline or gas processing facility where no liquids (slug) of the flow stream are presented, but solids are presented. It is commonly horizontal vessel with filter cartridges inside. Solid removal efficiency is 100% when size of solids is 10 microns & larger, and 99%, when size of solids are 1-3 microns. In comparison, filter separator can handle also the liquids.

Gas diverter manifold is an assembly of two ball valves and connecting pipes mounted on the skid, which are used to divert gas coming from the test separator to the flare stack or burner boom. Gas diverter manifolds are connected to the gas and burner pipelines through hammer union. Valves of the manifold are usually manually operated. Gas diverter manifold is also called gas diverter hook-up.
